What is LiveMedConnect?
You have probably heard about tele doc services, you may have even tried one. With LiveMedConnect, you can access a doctor from the comfort of your home, office, or on-the-go 24/7/365. Our Board-Certified doctors can visit with you either by phone or secure video to help treat any non-emergency medical conditions. Our doctors can diagnose your symptoms, prescribe medication, and send prescriptions to your preferred pharmacy.
Is LiveMedConnect appropriate for every medical condition?
Telehealth services are not always appropriate, but they are designed to handle non-emergency medical issues. You should not use LiveMedConnect for medical emergencies. In case of a life-threatening emergency, dial 911 immediately. While LiveMedConnect was not designed to replace your primary care physician, in some cases a virtual doctor’s appointment can substitute a physical visit to the doctor’s office, urgent care or emergency room.
What are the most common conditions you treat?
Our doctors are trained to treat a wide range of conditions through both LiveMedConnect and Breakthrough, LiveMedConnect’s behavioral health therapy service. Telehealth has been used for medical conditions including Acne, Allergies, Constipation, Cough, Diarrhea, Ear problems, Fever, Flu, Headache, Insect bites, Nausea / vomiting, Pink eye, Rash, Respiratory problems, Sore throats, UTI, (Adult Females Only) Vaginitis and more. Common behavioral health concerns include: Addictions, Bipolar disorders, Child and adolescent issues, Depression, Eating, disorders, Gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender issues, Grief and loss ,Life changes, Men’s issues, Panic disorders, Parenting issues, Postpartum depression, Relationship and marriage issues, Stress, Trauma and PTSD, Women’s issues.
How do I sign up for LiveMedConnect or activate my LiveMedConnect account?
You can sign up for LiveMedConnect tele doc services or activate your account online at LiveMedConnect.com or call our toll-free number at 1(833) 4Live-MD.
When can I start using my LiveMedConnect service?
You can start using LiveMedConnect immediately after you sign up for a plan that works best for you and activate your account. You will only be asked for your credit card information when you register for a plan. Once you have a LiveMedConnect account, you can browse tele doctor profiles, view available appointment times, and schedule an appointment with the doctor of your choice. Want to go one step further? Be sure to fill out your medical history profile to better prepare your LiveMedConnect doctor for your appointment.
When is LiveMedConnect available?
LiveMedConnect is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year, including holidays. Use LiveMedConnect anytime you have a non-emergency medical condition, are unable to see your primary care provider, or when you simply prefer a convenient, cost effective alternative to the emergency room, urgent care center, or clinic.
Where is LiveMedConnect available?
LiveMedConnect is available to members anywhere in the United States**. You will be assigned a Board-Certified doctor based on the state you are located in. Each doctor in our network is fully licensed to practice medicine in your state.
How much does it cost to use LiveMedConnect?
There is no cost for a member to schedule or receive a telehealth consultation. The only cost to you is the monthly program access fee. There are two options: Individual Plan $24.95 or Family Plan $29.95. This is a monthly access subscription for unlimited telemedicine consultations. There is no additional cost to use LiveMedConnect. We accept most major credit and debit cards.
Can LiveMedConnect be accessed on mobile devices?
Yes, you can use your mobile device if there is an internet connection and you can access the LiveMedConnect website.
Who are the LiveMedConnect doctors?
LiveMedConnect tele docs are U.S. Board Certified doctors who are able to treat a wide range of medical conditions. Following each consultation, our members receive a survey to evaluate their doctor and overall appointment. The results are analyzed and reviewed for quality assurance and on-going improvement. Select tele doc appointments are reviewed by our internal medical board.
Can a provider prescribe medication as part of a LiveMedConnect visit?
Yes, LiveMedConnect doctors can prescribe non-narcotic medication if it is warranted. Your tele doc cannot prescribe controlled substances. Your prescription can be sent directly to your preferred pharmacy; as long as, it’s one of the 65,000 pharmacies in our network. If your pharmacy doesn’t accept e-prescriptions, a written prescription will be generated for our doctors to sign and fax to your pharmacy. All prescriptions are fully compliant and include all required information.
Is LiveMedConnect safe and private?
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance to us. It is a core part of LiveMedConnect’s Code of Ethics. We take privacy very seriously. We can share your information with your PCP in accordance with applicable state and federal laws including HIPPA.
What system requirements do I need for LiveMedConnect videoconferencing?
To use LiveMedConnect videoconferencing you need Windows®7, Vista, or XP A Mac running OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or superior. You will need a highspeed internet connection, a webcam with at least 1.3 megapixels, and a microphone (most webcams already have microphone built in). Once you have set up an account, you will be able to use a simple online simulation to test your configuration and confirm that you are ready for a virtual consultation.
